Those of us who are wallowing in despair must stop it immediately. Rather than dwell on the specifics of how our problems will be solved, focus on the totality of where we would like to be in life (spiritually, professionally, etc.) Rather than focusing on the specifics of how our children will become what we would ultimately want for them, focus on the big picture of what you and they see as ultimate success for them (spiritually, academically, physically, professionally, etc.) Only then can we get beyond the negativity of the details that all too often grip us and ultimately experience what God intends in our lives.
